JENSEN TINA TRAVELLER - Jensen's Original Tina Wheel!
The Jensen's have reintroduced their little upright spinning wheel which was first produced in 1960. They have named it after their granddaughter TINA and have added their wonderful double treadles which make spinning so effortless. The TINA has a 3/8 in. orifice, which is 30 in. high. It has a heavy 15 in. wheel with ball bearings, double drive & scotch tension single drive, built in lazy kate, 3 whorls, 4 bobbins with a 6 to 8 oz. capacity, & threading hook. The TINA stands 38 in. high, 15 in. deep, and 17 in. wide. Made of solid cherry or walnut, signed and numbered. Tina I has both scotch tension and double drive.
Double Drive Ratios - 6:1, 7:1, 8:1
Scotch Tension Ratios - 6:1,7:1,8:1, 9:1, 10:1, 14:1
*Jensen ratios are determined by dividing the diameter of the whorl into wheel diameter. This method is described in Paula Simmons book Spinning and Weaving with Wool
